When you cancel a flight, the airline may offer you an airline credit. To redeem your credit visit the Credits section on Account, and follow the instructions there.
We follow the policies of the airlines. Each airline has its own rules and restrictions. However, here are some general rules:
- Airline credits come with a travel-by date. We recommend that you book and complete travel by the expiration date.
- Credits can only be used by the original ticket holder.
- You can only use your credit to book flights from the same airline who issued your credit.
- There may be fare class and cabin restrictions.
- Airlines give separate credits to each traveler and for each itinerary; you won’t be able to combine or transfer them.
Go to My Bookings, open your trip, then choose Cancel. Any fees depend on airline rules and your fare type.
Open your booking and select Change flight. Fare differences and airline change fees may apply.
If the airline changes your schedule, we’ll email you and show the new options in your booking. You can accept or request alternatives.
Find phone numbers and links on the airline’s website or within your booking under Airline details.
Use your credit or start a fresh search to rebook. We’ll show eligible fares and any additional costs.
Enable notifications in your profile to receive email or SMS updates about delays and gate changes.
You can add insurance during checkout or via your booking up to 24 hours before departure (availability varies).
Most airlines open online check-in 24 hours before departure. Bring your ID, visa (if needed), and follow the airline’s baggage rules.
Allowance depends on the fare and airline. See Baggage inside your booking for exact pieces, weight, and fees.
Track live status from your trip page or the airline’s site using your booking reference.
Add your loyalty number during booking or later from Passenger details in your trip.
Earning and redemption follow airline program terms. Some basic fares may be ineligible.
